Who is the current Presiding Bishop of COGIC?

The question asks who currently leads the Church of God in Christ as its national head. That role, the Presiding Bishop, oversees the denomination’s spiritual and administrative matters and is elected by the General Assembly. The current Presiding Bishop is Bishop J. Drew Sheard, who was elected to succeed Charles Blake and has served in that capacity since 2020. The other names are leaders in different ministries or former leaders of COGIC, not the current head: T. D. Jakes leads a different church, Vashti McKenzie is a bishop in the AME Church, and Charles Blake previously held the role but is not the present Presiding Bishop.
